STAFF

Herbert Hurd Primary School boasts an expansive, dynamic and professional staff.  The principal, Dr Susan Whale, holds a PhD in Education, specializing in Research in Mathematics.

 

The deputy principal, Mrs Wendy Venter and all departmental heads have their own offices in which they can meet confidentially.

The comprehensive support services team, for learners with special educational needs, is functioning effectively.

Weekly management team meetings ensure continuity.

 

Various special needs education staff members are qualified to render support in their fields of expertise, such as remedial education and occupational therapy. 

​

Some teachers hold honours degrees in Education Management and other fields.

Our Head of Sport, Mr Mark Jenneker, has been selected as Team Manager of the South African men's  hockey team.

​

All our teachers are dedicated professionals who  tirelessly toil to improve academics, sport and culture at our esteemed school. They strive to be just in all their actions and endeavours.
